Harlem based artist Lynette Williams writes music that is complex and simple, dark and joyful, abstract and tangible — sometimes all of that in the span of a single verse. It is at once tragic and joyful, quiet and mighty — reserved and abandoned.
Lynette is on Ms. Lauryn Hill’s track “Consumerism”. She plays around New York at local venues such as Rockwood Music Hall, Bowery Electric, Lincoln Center, The Highline, The Blue Note, and Pianos. She currently has an EP out called “Songs for Sarah”.
